SMC

HIGH PRESSURE WASHERS
TECHNICAL FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • SMC pressure cleaning systems are engineered and manufactured for heavy-duty industrial or commercial use with heavy emphasis on durability, reliability and performance. They are suitable for continuous duty.
  • Advanced engineering design normally found in only large custom engineered industrial systems.
  • Rugged and durable triplex ceramic plunger oil bath positive displacement pumps, which require a minimum of service and produce top performance.
  • All electric motor driven models are equipped with heavy-duty ball bearing 1.15 service factor NEMA standard American motors.
  • All models are American made with heavy-duty American standard components for maximum reliability, long life and ease of maintenance.
  • All models are equipped with unique siphon injection chemical system to allow the use of alkaline cleaning solutions for maximum cleaning power, precise chemical ratio control. Optional systems are available for phosphatizing and acid applications.
  • Simple, easy to use fool proof controls. Units with motors of 5 HP or larger and 3 phase systems are equipped with heavy-duty motor starters. Models of 3 HP or less are equipped with heavy-duty switches.
  • All cold water models are optionally available in hazardous duty (explosion proof) configuration. Contact factory Sales Department.
  • All models are standard equipped with durable trigger gun type wands to allow the operator to stop and start the water flow. Wands are equipped with interchangeable nozzles to allow wand control of the chemical system.
  • For applications that will benefit from the use of hot water, all cold water models may be supplied with pre-heated water up to 160° F. Optional motor control system must be used when washer is supplied with hot water over 100° F. Higher water temperature may be used with certain models when equipped with other optional features. Hot water models heat the water internally. See SMC Technical Bulletin Number 1168 for a full explanation and contact factory Sales Department for more information.
  • High-pressure braided hydraulic grade hose that is American made and specifically designed for high-pressure service is used on all SMC Series machines. The hose is strong, yet flexible and highly resistant to wear and damage. All fittings are hydraulically crimped for maximum strength.
  • All metal surfaces of each machine are cleaned and phosphate-coated after fabrication, primed and then finished with multiple coats of high gloss, chemical resistant, chip resistant oven baked powder coating.
  • Portable machines are designed for maximum ease of use with carefully balanced weight distribution and special wheels. Stationary skid mount or wall mount frame configurations are optionally available on all models of portable machines.
  • Machines are subjected to 5 different stages of inspection and testing during manufacture as well as a final run-in and full performance test and certification. Rigid quality standards must be met before shipment.
  • All models have an automatic thermal pump protection system to positively prevent pump damage in the event that operator leaves the trigger gun off too long with the pump running. (This is a common cause of pump failures in many competitive pressure washers.)
  • Machines are designed for low maintenance and ease of servicing when necessary. All major components and systems are easily accessible and can be replaced or repaired in most cases without special knowledge or special tools. All fittings, hardware, electrical components, etc., are standard American items normally readily available from local sources, if necessary.
  • SMC guarantees availability of replacement parts for all models for at least 10 years from date of manufacture. In most cases, we guarantee shipment of parts within 24 hours from our factory Parts and Service Department. Emergency orders can be air shipped to reach any major airport in the Continental U.S. within 24 hours of time of order. Service labor is available from local distributors, any authorized SMC Service Center or the factory Service Department. Service information, guidance or assistance is available by phone, fax, or e-mail anytime during normal business hours from factory Customer Service Department.
  • In addition to standard models, SMC machines can be furnished with a wide range of special combinations of performance specifications (GPM and PSI). This can normally be done by minor adjustments and changing pump/motor combinations at minimal extra cost. Contact SMC Technical Sales Department for information and prompt quotation.
  • In addition to standard models and/or custom combinations of flow and pressure, SMC engineers can design and build cost effective special systems in many cases to meet many special requirements using standard components or sub systems. This includes but is not limited to automatic controls, production line systems, special voltages and special configurations. For more information contact SMC Application Engineering Department.
  • A wide variety of optional accessories are available for special applications. See Accessory List or contact SMC Sales Department.
